Laura DeVito brings over 15 years of teaching experience across multiple disciplines, emphasizing creativity and problem-solving. Currently teaching art and design courses at the Oregon Institute of Technology, she has developed both face-to-face and online courses such as ART 215 Design Arts and Aesthetics and ART 315 Design Thinking. These courses focus on design principles, color theory, and human-centered approaches, encouraging students from diverse majors to engage with complex problems. Her dynamic teaching style fosters student interaction, critical thinking, and creativity through engaging online content and video lectures.

DeVito has also taught online undergraduate courses at Southern New Hampshire University, including Digital Photography and Interdisciplinary Studies, working with students from various fields such as business, healthcare, and media arts. She is dedicated to creating supportive learning environments, providing timely feedback, and inspiring students to step outside their comfort zones. Her role as a Teaching Artist at Caldera Arts further highlights her ability to adapt her teaching across both academic and non-academic contexts.

With experience in English as a Second Language (ESL) and English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), DeVito has taught students at all levels in France, China, and the USA. In France and China, she engaged university students and preschoolers through creative teaching methods, while in the USA, she supported international students at Oregon State University in improving their language skills and navigating academic challenges for greater success.
